Citrus Themed Spring Tablescape

Spring Citrus Tablescape

Citrus Spring Tablescape

I love Spring, because it welcomes a new color palette into my home. For my Spring Tablescape this year, I was inspired by my youngest baby, Rumi. To me, she exudes the colors yellow sunshine, tangerine and blush pink which reminds me of bright citrus colors.

Once I determined the yellow, orange and pink color palette, I let my creativity flow. I loved the idea of decorating for a spring event with an orange and lemon theme with touches of pink and bunches of fresh florals. I am in love with all of the spring blooms I’ve been finding at the grocery store, so I decided to incorporate my own  DIY spring arrangement into the table setting.

It had the perfect mix of muted nude garden roses, peach juliets, white spray roses, white and peach ranunculus, cymbidium orchids and silver dollar eucalyptus to use for spring table decor.

I used a pink velvet linen to cover my dining table as a clean backdrop for my florals and place settings. For the place settings, I used what I already had at home and added a pink linen napkin with a cute bowtie napkin ring for some fun textures.

To bring in an Easter element, I used custom cookies from my favorite SoCal baker, Sweetleemade. Elise’s birthday is so close to Easter, so we had her name stamped into the cookies as a special treat for her! She loved that her name was on each place setting.

What Do You Need To Set A Table For Spring

Gold rimmed dinner plates

White plates with an elegant gold rim are the perfect blank canvas for a spring tablescape.

Gold flatware

Using gold flatware is an easy way to elevate any table setting.

Blush stemless wine glass

What better way to subtly draw from the pink in my table setting than with these blush stemless wine glasses?

Clear champagne coupes

Incorporating a couple of different drink ware options is a great way to add character and volume to any table setting.

Pink linen napkins

Using light pink napkins instead of classic white ones added another touch of color to this bright and inviting table setting.

Gold bow napkin rings

I thought these gold bow napkin rings were too cute to pass up. They look great with the pink napkins, but I plan to use them with just about any color for a touch of elegance and femininity.

Pink velvet linen

Velvet doesn’t have to be reserved for winter. This pink velvet linen makes a perfect backdrop for a spring table setting.

Pink vase

I added even more color to my spring tablescape with this adorable pink vase.

Pillar candles

Candles are a must-have for any table setting. You can’t go wrong with classic pillar candles.

Spring is all about big fresh blooms, so I didn’t want to make this tablescape look minimalistic. I have a lemon tree at home that paired perfectly with the cara cara oranges we had from the farmers market, along with the tangerines my kids love.

To make the table look nice and full, we flanked the floral arrangement with the lemons and oranges cut in half and mixed them with some peeled and whole tangerines for the perfect final touch. We even laid the leftover eucalyptus underneath the citrus to let the yellow and orange tones pop even more against the greens and pink linen.

The fresh citrus brought out the yellow and orange tones in my arrangement, so the tablescape looked lively and bright. Not to mention, my entire dining room smelled so fresh and citrusy!

Nice tablescapes do not require you to hire professional florists in order for them to look nice, especially during springtime. You can find such beautiful blooms at the grocery store and mixing them with a fresh edible element is a great way to fill up the table, while keeping things affordable. I hope this inspires you to create your own citrus inspired spring tablescape.
