The holidays are my favorite time of the year, where I'm once again reminded of the most important things in life: making memories with my family. (#ad) My 4th baby is coming early next year which means this is our last holiday season as a family of five (it's so weird for me to say that!) and I'm making the most out of this season by celebrating the small moments with my kids.⁣

15 years ago I walked down the aisle to marry this man (boy) standing by the altar. My wedding colors were soft pink and lavender, a color that’s trendy but oh so pretty when it comes back in style like this season. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I chose him because he understood me the best and I felt safe with him. He knew my deepest pains and stories untold and still loved me through them all. We used to talk for hours on the phone and exchanged countless letters while he was stationed in Germany and I was in college. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I married him because I was seeking “my other half” and he fulfilled the role. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Today I understand love differently. You don’t marry your other half to complete you, you meet another broken individual who will teach you how to love yourself wholly and completely. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You marry a companion- a best friend and lifelong partner so you’re not so alone on your journey of self-love, self-discovery and healing. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This journey is for you and yours alone, and the more you heal yourself and learn to truly love and accept yourself, the more your relationship with your significant other will improve. Today on our 15th anniversary, I truly understand this love that the greatest spiritual teachers talk about. ⁣⁣

Thank you @danimalkim for being by my side since 16. We had a lot of growing up to do, and I’m glad we were by each other’s side. Thank you for being my biggest supporter, my rock and my best friend. ⁣

My dinosaur obsessed son is so happy that SUPER DINOSAUR by @skyboundent is now on @amazonprimevideo! To celebrate we spent an afternoon at @NHMLA learning about dinosaurs and other animals 🦕🦖 ⁣

At 3 years old, he can name more dinosaurs than I can- I’m so impressed! I also enjoyed learning about the rich history & cultural diversity of LA. There’s truly no other place like it. ⁣
