Why I began using essential oils
My essential oils journey began as I searched for natural and holistic ways to stay emotionally balanced and keep my vibrations high in midst of my hectic life. As a busy working mama of three kids, one with special needs, I often faced days of low energy, lack of motivation and difficulty in concentration even though I tried so hard to “be on it” all the time. As someone with a history of depression, I knew I needed something that’s ongoing and effective, something that adds value to my overall well-being without synthetic chemicals and side effects.
Once I discovered essential oils and began feeling its healing and soothing effects, I became obsessed. I went from diffusing oils, to making my own essential oil rollers, to combining my two favorite holistic healing tools like crystals and oils to combat lower vibrational energies and daily stressors of motherhood.

My favorite cleaning products: Thieves essential oil
My FAVORITE cleaning product line is Thieves which includes every household cleaning product from dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent to all-purpose cleaner. You can pretty much make your own chemical free cleaning agents like carpet powder and all-surface cleaner with one bottle of Thieves (concentrated blend of essential oils that smell way better than bleach or Lysol).

What are essential oils?
By definition, essential oils are the vital (and aromatic) fluids of a plant, shrub, root, herb, flower, seed or tree. You can think of the oil as a plant’s “immune system” — it is essential to the life and health of the plant. Oils are typically extracted through careful steam distillation that ensures all the important, therapeutic, and health-giving constituents of the oil remain intact.

There are many high quality oils out there but the ones you find at Whole Foods markets and Amazon contain fillers and are not of the highest grade. (The ones I used to purchase at the store and Amazon ARE NOT the same quality as the ones I use today.) Young Living Essential Oils are therapeutic grade which gives them the ability to work with your body. Within 20 minutes of applying oils they can be found in every cell. These pure oils are distilled from the “life blood” of plants and contain the plant’s own immunity, hormones and scents.

I know some people want to be safe and try one or two oils at a time but to truly begin using oils in your life, I recommend buying the starter kit. This is because there are various oils for different uses and its difficult to truly benefit from the oils journey with just one or two oils.
