In reply to Amanda | My Own Unexpected Journey. I think this whole idea of monetizing through blogs is so misleading and many people start blogging to make money. It's so easy to experience burn out if one is blogging for money because it's not that easy although possible. I've put in a lot of work until now and I'm sure I'll continue to do so. At the end of the day I blog because I genuinely enjoy it and I find value in it that's not only for money. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I'm so glad you stopped by. :)

These benefits are the reasons that I have decided to keep blogging. I love blogging so much, it really keeps my dreams of writing and cooking going. It also gives me great confidence when I write something that other people use.

After reading sooo many (well intentioned) blogs about “how easy” it is to start a blog and monetize it, this was a breath fresh air. Blogging is a LOT of work and is definitely not for the faint heart, or for those looking to turn a quick buck. BUT, as you mentioned, it can be very fulfilling and profitable for the right kind of person.

I totally agree with two of these- the fact that blogging has made me more present in activities and my life because in order to write about it I have to truly live it AND meeting some amazing people along the way. Congrats on 3 years!! That is amazing.
