Hi Trish- so good to hear from you! I use a canon 5d Mark 3 (older model) with a 35 mm prime lens mostly. It’s been my go-to camera and lens for many years and still going strong.

First of all, I am constantly in awe of your blog photos and am so thankful for this post. Thank you for taking the time to write this out for all the moms (and bloggers) who would love clear quality photos.

Based on your reviews I got an awesome mirrorless for my birthday. First camera… husband went overboard lol. Looking for a mum friendly online course to learn how to use it properly as I live far from a city offering such things. . Is there anything you suggest?

The 6D is great but it gets expensive with a lens! I think its a great camera dont get me wrong but there are many great mirrorless options out there too!

T3i is a great option for moms and non-professionals. I went from that to a full frame but it gets way too expensive. I think mirrorless is a good camera in addition to the T3i.

I love Canon too! It’s always been the most reliable choice for us.

Yeah I used my rebel for many years. It’s actually more than enough for moms IMO. Full frame cameras get way too expensive.

Same here. I currently use the Mark iii too and love it but it’s so big, especially with three kids! I hear T6 is really good. I used to use the T2i too.
